I have lost 17 lbs and I think about 10 inches. I am buying lots of new & smaller clothes! I feel great !!
I had a physical for my 50th birthday in June and last year my cholesterol was 180. This year it was 145! The Dr asked me what I was doing!
He said you are at the lowest weight you’ve been since you have been a patient here & your cholesterol is down & your blood pressure is perfect!

You have been such a inspiration to me on my weight loss journey, you have helped me realize that I need to take care of me first before anyone else, because I am worth it. This is still a struggle for me along with self confidence but I will get there.
You have also motivated me because of trying different types and ways of exercise keeps me interested in exercise, normally I would get bored with it and quit. You always give us that extra push that we need to keep on! I plan on continuing my weight loss with you as my trainer and will tell others how inspiring you are! I have lost 25 lbs and 14 inches since January and I have at least 30 more to go with your help!
You have so much energy and look wonderful and I want that too! I also want to say thank you for all of your help!

April Hartsook is an amazing person, athlete and motivator. She possesses the unique ability to challenge individuals to excel in life and to face life’s challenges with courage and a determination to overcome and succeed.
I was one of April’s students at the YMCA for over 3 years. I am 50 years old and I am in the best physical condition of my life. She challenged me to do things in her classes that I never dreamed I could accomplish. She instilled in me a self-confidence and I have a try-anything confidence in her. If April tells me to try some exercise, however ridiculous it may seem to me, I will give it my best effort. She helped me to believe that I can do whatever she asks me to try.
There is more to April than just her physical ability and incredible understanding of how to get the best out of her students. April’s enthusiasm and energy are contagious. She makes challenging classes fun and exciting. She teaches life lessons in the process of teaching exercise classes. She is an amazing motivator and encourager. She has a tremendous heart for those that have been through or are going through some of life difficulties. She helps people to see beyond their circumstances.
In fact, because of April’s encouragement, training, motivation and inspiration, I am actually a group exercise instructor at the YMCA now teaching classes like April taught me to teach. I am having a wonderful experience doing the things April taught me to do. She is my trainer, motivator and friend! I recommend April Hartsook to you. You will never be same … and it’s a good thing!

April is much more than a trainer, she is a life changer! As long as I can remember, I have been fat and had consoled myself that at 52 years old, that was a fact that was never going to change but then I met April.
She taught me that I can change my life, one day at a time, one step at a time. Her persistence and approach are refreshing. She pushed me to go further than I ever thought possible. I am so grateful for my new outlook and changing body. April’s motto is: “Want different, do different” and with April’s help that is exactly what I am doing and you can do it too!
April has helped me overcome disbelief in myself. She has pushed me to think positively, move daily, and give it all I have. Even though I was not in good shape or health, she always encouraged me to give what I had, but not to hurt or injure myself.
Sometimes doing the best for yourself is taking a break or resting. It is also about not working alone, but being a part of a group that struggles just as I do. More than anything I am more aware of the potential my body has, its limitations, and how to continue growing and improving.
Throughout my life I have struggled with my WEIGHT, but April has helped me realize that the shape that my body is in is more important than that number on the scale. We smashed a scale on our first work-out. For someone so attached to it, I was shocked, but have stayed away from the dreaded scales through this journey.
I truly don’t know where my weight is, but I know I am stronger and have lost 25+ inches:) My new motto has been adopted from April’s: WANT DIFFERENT DO DIFFERENT.

Just wanted to catch up with you and let you know where I am in my weight loss. You helped me tremendously in conquering my current addiction, sugar and carbs, and even though I haven’t seen you in three weeks, and I took a very long and relaxing vacation, I managed to continue with your suggested meal plan.
